Meet our Expert Staff

Kenneth A. Ottman, Chief Executive Officer

Ken is a respected industry leader with over 30 years experience in the tree care profession. He holds a B.S. in forestry from UW-Stevens Point and a M.S. from Michigan State University. Ken is past president of both the 700+ member Wisconsin Arborist Association and the 16,000+ member International Society of Arboriculture. He received the ISA President's Award in 1989, WAA Distinguished Service Award in 1991, WAA Honorary Lifetime Member Award in 1996, and the ISA Award of Merit in 2003. He is also an Honorary Life Member of ISA. Ken currently serves on the Governor's Forestry Council, Wisconsin Urban Forestry Council, and Tree Research & Education Endowment fund (TREEfund). He has spent most of his career mentoring urban forestry/arboriculture professionals by promoting membership and active participation in industry organizations, and investment into continuing arboricultural research.

Mark J. Pinkalla, Certified Arborist/President, #WI-0216A

Mark has been active in the tree care industry since 1990. His experience includes nine years in municipal forestry, and over eight years in commercial arboriculture. He earned his degree in Urban Forestry at UW-Stevens Point, is an ISA Certified Arborist, and a Certified Pesticide Applicator. Mark served for eight years on the Wisconsin Arborist Association editorial board, three years on the TREEfund development committee, and currently serves on the steering committee for MidState Technical College's Urban Forestry Technician program. He is a regular guest lecturer at UW-Stevens Point and MidState Technical College.

Deborah A. Ottman, Treasurer/Chief Financial Officer

Debbie has been actively involved in the Green Industry for over 25 years. She holds a B.S. in Education from UW-Stevens Point. Debbie has participated in the meetings of 16 North American and 5 European chapters of the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA), and served on the planning/steering committee for the 2001 ISA International Conference hosting over 3,000 attendees. Debbie is responsible for the financial management and office operations of the company.

David P. Liska, Forestry Consultant

Dave is a veteran within the Wisconsin urban forestry community. He has more than 35 years of municipal arboriculture experience. He earned both his B.S. and M.S. forestry degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dave has twice served as president of the Wisconsin Arborist Association. He received the WAA's Distinguished Service Award in 1990 and 1992, and was awarded the WAA Honorary Lifetime Member Award in 1999. Dave currently serves as a member of the Wisconsin Urban Forestry Council and is a forestry faculty consultant at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. He is a passionate ambassador for community trees and a steward for the urban forest.

Daniel Dieringer, Certified Arborist, #WI-0712A

Dan has worked in the tree care industry since graduating from MidState Technical College with an Urban Forestry Technician Associates Degree in 2005. He is a member of the International Society of Arboriculture and Wisconsin Arborist Association. Dan is an ISA Certified Arborist and Certified Pesticide Applicator.

Nolan Gilbertson, Certified Arborist, #WI-0632A

Nolan graduated from Winona State University in 2003 with a B.S. in Biology. Since then, he has worked in the tree care industry in the Milwaukee area as well as in Central Wisconsin. Nolan is an ISA Certified Arborist and Certified Pesticide Applicator. He is currently the Production Coordinator in our Mequon office.

Paul Pinkalla, Certified Arborist, #WI-0653A

Paul has been active in the green industry since 1992. He holds an Associates Degree in Communications from UW-Waukesha, and has spent most of his career as a customer service representative. Paul is an ISA Certified Arborist, Certified Pesticide Applicator, and member of the Wisconsin Arborist Association. He regularly volunteers his time & talent to fundraising for the TREEfund. Paul specializes in Plant Health Care and serves as the company's Safety Coordinator.

Jessica Przybelski, Customer Service Representative

Jessica has spent her entire career devoted to customer service and office management. She attended NorthCentral Technical College and MidState Technical College where her studies included Customer Service, Legal Secretarial, Computer Information Systems, and Administrative Assistant coursework. Jessica's international experiences included teaching English in Hungary for over a year. She now serves as the first point of contact for our new clients.
